Everything about Moviez

http://youtu.be/ei5l3r1dV4I

Real Steel has go to be one of the better movies this year. It has equal amount of emotions, action and strength to keep you glued to the sit.It is the heady combination of drama, sci-fi and action that does the trick for this movie.

The story is fairly simple: set in future, where robot boxing is the ‘in’ thing to do, Charlie Kenton trains and wins the championship using the robot called Atom, whom Kenton finds in the junkyard. Adding to this is the father-son story as Kenton tries to come in to term with his 11 year old son.

This one is a winner here. There are multiple flaws in the story. We just have to believe that  the story takes place in future, that suddenly Jackman finds a robot, he has a hot looking friend (Lily) with whom he never thought about dating before!!! Well, even then this movie has some serious action sequences that is sure to make the viewers happy and excitable. The father-son story is kind of lame, however, if one can watch Real Steel with an attempt to simply enjoy it, then there is a lot to see.

On the boxing front, this movie is a mixture of Rocky, Transformers, Seabiscuit, just add any amount of wrestling, underdog winning movie you know and is actually lot better. It is not as emotional as Rocky, nor as insane as Transformers yet it is a little of both.

Real Steel stars Hugh Jackman, Dakota Goyo, Evangeline Lily in the lead cast. Real Steel  has already done a bussiness of $10.8 million since its release and still counting. It is the release of Paranormal Activity 3 that has shifted the film in the number two slot. However, when the other movies running are the steam-punk drama The Three Musketeers and probably Johnny English, a movie like Real Steel is bound to do good.

Do not worry it is nothing like the Transformers series. Unlike the Transformers this movie has quite some meaning and is not merely mindless action. Hugh Jackman as always is a treat to watch. The role of a defeated jerk of a man to role of a man hell bent on winning every aspect of his life, Jackman does this well.  However it is Dakota Goyo who is the scene stealer, leaving aside the robot Atom. Goyo’s rendering is simple and uncomplicated whereas the role he plays actually goes through lot of complexities of a pre-teen boy. Their bonding is well, expected still it is heart warming.

It is a good watch with equal amounts of adrenaline and mush. On the flip side Real Steel seems like a movie that you have seen before, even the dialogues sound like you have heard them somewhere. But no worries whatever Real Steel is, it is highly entertaining. Catch it in the cinemas while its still there.
