I along with rest of the world has been waiting for this adventure for a long long time, as long as the release of the first poster. Puss In Boots has finally arrived! And with what attitude, glamor and grandeur. This film exceeds expectations.
The animated cat is one of the best and the most wonderful creations to date, and it can believed that with cat lovers all over the world any movie with Puss will have a a much easier way to moolah than any other star.

Puss started off merely as a Spanish accented shady cat, in an attempt to kill Shrek, but here, he is on in own, in his own tale with his own history and legend to build and break. We have to give to Antonio Banderas. Who could have thought that a a guy who steamed up the entire hall with Salma Hayek in Desperados can play a cat much , much better? But how he does it, His voice was meant for Puss, sleek, suave, Cassanova, his voice melts and the accent, that makes us feel a little heady. It is this combination of an abnormally cute heart-melting cat, with a voice to die for and a cunning to match, that made Puss land his own deal in Hollywood.

The story still goes with the same rules, set in fairytale land, full of well known fairytale characters yet convoluted into something that makes us laugh and yet is real in an odd, uncanny way. This time we have the goose that lays golden eggs, we have Humpty Alexander Dumpty, we have Magic Beans, we have Jack and Jill and we have Kitty Softpaws, Salma Hayek. And with them we have a western, or even better spaghetti- Western!!
Puss is out to steal the golden goose, and it is a tremendous adventure, a cat as we know them, disrespectful, selfish, cute and moody along with a real western adventure, with horses and stirrups, clouds of dust, music, the shady sexy lady and a swashbuckling hero. It doesn’t get any better than this! This is the story of how Puss became the legend in the land of Far Far Away where Shrek belonged.
Remember the first introductory shot of Desperado? or Once Upon a Time in Mexico? how the the legend about whom people talk about enters the pub, first the shadow , then the boots then finally a face that chills you to the bone? that was all Antonio Banderas once, today it is Puss. You do not know whether to laugh or to play along. Laugh wins any day!

This movie has ample comic moments, well lets say too many comic moments and yes it is at times little grown up in humor, however this is the way grown-ups enjoy films.
A must watch for this year. Puss In Boots stars, Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Zach Galifianakis, Amy Serdis, Billy Bob Thornton and Constance Marie.
