Paramount Pictures is back with the fourth installment of IMF agent Ethan Hunt’s adventures in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, or simply Mission Impossible 4 at the very end of December 2011. This is called saving  best for the last!!

Director, actor and writer Brad Bird is in charge of this rocking action film and that is a lot of work, knowing the series and its explosive box office records. Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg are reprising their role as cant-do-without-them sidekicks Benji Dunn, and Luther Stickell and as usual there are loads of tongue-in-cheek dialogues happening between the three. Adding to the trio is the hot Paula Patton as Jane Carter and Lost star Josh Holloway.

If you already are a MI series fan, then there is no point selling this. The film has some of the best action sequences so far and Tom Cruise is the very best that he could have been. Ghost Protocol is best of this series yet, in all sections, especially action. Releasing during the holidays it is one of the best movies to watch for with your mates and a bucket of popcorn and cola.

Story:Ethan Hunt and  IMF team are now in the historic city of Moscow and while they are there in the Russian capital, terrorists have destroyed The Kremlin, the most official and historic of all buildings in Russia which also acts as the residence of the President of Russian Federation. Russia links this to the presence of IMF agents and sees it as an act of war by United States and stands prepared while holding Hunt and team in captivity.  USA thus have also prepared to attack back, if necessary terming the operation ‘Ghost Protocol’.  It is now on IMF and therefore Hunt & Co to save the day as IMF is ambushed and they are left onto themselves to save United States, Russia and the world to get in to another devastating war.

Sounds like a regular spy/action drama, which it is. Be ready to see buildings wreck like pack of cards and bombs blast every now and then, along with snappy , cheeky, fast dialogues from the characters along with beyond imagination gadgets. Brad bird is seriously Fantastic. He seems to start from the point where he knows that the viewers have seen it all, either in the MI series or in any other action adventure movie. Therefore action and gadget wise, this movie seriously brings on a lot of punch.

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol: Dubai action secquence in Burj Khalifa

The film holds the viewers from the opening sequence till the last and honestly there are no silly moments (remember Hunt entering after the pigeons flew off?)

The film had the usual action flick clichés, but even the cliches are super cool. This film stands out in the series T simply because here Ethan Hunt is seriously more human, depending constantly on his cohorts , even though he has the best shots and actions.

soundtrack by Eminem and Pink titled ‘Won’t Back Down’  has been released and is now quite popular. With action sequences to die for, a popular soundtrack and a name that guarantees box office moolah, Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol is a sure shot hit.

The film looks matured and Brad Bird makes a great film where action sequences are not merely there for stylized cover-up for lack in script. The film is extremely well managed, with shots that wow the viewers and concepts that however repetative still manages to entertain.

All in all a great start to holidays.
